During the hot summer months, Evans Head Open Air Cinema has been producing outdoor cinema for the local community. Due to increasing demand, this summer saw an expansion in business. This lead to a need for an official brand and a website to support events by providing patrons with show information.
To kick the project off, we started on the branding for the series of events. Being a laid-back community, which boasts both beautiful beaches and a river, we set out to include these iconic landmarks in the logo. Incorporating these with a nostalgic, vintage feel, we came up with a branding that was timeless and warm. And in turn, inviting.
For the website, it not only needed to support the brand but also to serve a hub for visitors to obtain upcoming show information.
With lots of shows on offer, we delivered an easy to use platform so that the client was able to maintain the website. On top of this, we built out a blog platform so that post-event highlights could keep the audience engaged to ensure returning visitors to both the site and the events.
Being a regional event, search engine optimisation took a local SEO approach. Rich snippets delivered attractive SERP results, while social media supported the website with inbound links to event pages.
Overall the website is clean and informing, complimenting the brand and providing all the information needed to get more visitors to the series of events.
