We kicked off the project by researching competitors in the accounting industry. What we found were many brands and sites looked the same.
The most similar part of the accounting industry’s branding was that they lacked a fresh look – most looked tired and so did their websites. A majority of the sites used the same stock imagery.
With these observations, we found that our approach to find a point of difference simple. Create a brand that is unconventional and stands out from the rest of the accountants online. On top of that, implement the words ‘marked’ and ‘cloud’ within the visual touch points for the branding.
Building the website, we avoided the use of ‘calculator in hand’ stock images. Instead, using vector images in the form of SVG for web use.
For clients to upload their documents, we used Gravity forms that links up to the companies dropbox. A straightforward yet powerful solution.
Overall the website is clean and welcoming, complimenting the brand and providing an excellent point of difference for the new company.
